Web Applications: common questions
How long does a custom application take to build?
A focused internal tool is typically 6–12 weeks. A department-wide system with integrations runs 4–9 months. Discovery gives you a real number before you commit to the build, and we'd rather scope a small first release than a year-long project that ships all at once.
What happens if we want to change direction mid-project?
That's normal, and it's why we work in short increments with something demonstrable at the end of each. Changes to scope get priced as they come up rather than absorbed silently or refused on principle.
Do we own the code?
Yes. Source code, repositories, and infrastructure are yours, and the handover includes documentation regardless of whether you keep us on for support. We don't build lock-in into the engagement.
